AWARENESS CAMPUS
curated by Gabriele Vacis and the Institute of Theatrical Practices for Personal Care
The seminar, of a practical nature, focuses on the importance of Inclusive Theater as an opportunity for integration, sharing and cohesion.
You will be able to experience the method developed by the Institute of Theatrical Practices for Personal Care, which is based on the constant and rigorous exercise of awareness (Awareness) and attention, and on the common breath (the array), an articulated tool of construction of one’s presence and a way of reflecting on space and relationships, on the body that listens to other bodies to create common actions.
The path is aimed at educators, actors, social workers, teachers, psychologists, musicians, dancers, medical-health personnel, singers, all people who are faced with work in contact with groups of people and choose to use the instrument of theater both in the artistic and social fields.
GOALS OF AWARENESS CAMPUS
The main objectives lie within the training work undertaken by Vacis in the Institute of Theater Practices for Personal Care, which finds among its motivations the use of theater as an opportunity for inclusion, integration and sharing. The primary goal is, first of all, to know how to be consciously in relationship with others on stage as in everyday life.
It is not just the actors who need a deep knowledge of themselves and others: all people need it. Theater techniques have always taken care of the person.
Tragedy, in classical Greece, was the place where the community met. Theater practices support sociality, medicine, education. Because at the basis of these human needs there is always the ability to BE. To consciously inhabit one’s own time and space. Independently or in relation to other human beings.
2021 EDITION DIARY
It therefore happens that many artists no longer perceive social action as a civil duty or a benevolent gift.
The great masters of the twentieth century inspired these streets of the theater.
The involvement of the citizen, of the person, in the artistic work is by now the poetics of many actors, playwrights, directors.
Art is no longer just the creation of forms, but also interaction …

CAMPO BASE FESTIVAL
After last year’s debut, which saw guests such as Hervè Barmasse, Manolo and Franco Michieli, Campo Base confirms a program that promotes mountain culture and questions the relationship between man and nature.
The Festival takes place in the suggestive territory of the Ossola Valley, an area with wonderful valleys and mountains, rich in culture and still spared from mass tourism.
The connection with nature, respect for the peculiarities of these places are something deeply intrinsic for the inhabitants of the valley.
For this reason, it seemed possible to create Campo Base Festival here, and many of the activities are organized with the realities of this area.
Music, sports, outdoor activities, workshops and meetings with the protagonists of the mountains enrich this three days full of events.
Among the protagonists of the second edition the meteorologist Luca Mercalli, the philosopher Emanuele Coccia, the mountaineers Tamara Lunger, Nives Meroi, Luca Schiera, the climber Federica Mingolla, the researcher Giorgio Vacchiano and the explorer Franco Michieli, the artists Matteo Nasini and Nicola Ratti, Office for Humane Theater, the music of Buka and Amaro and Rovina, the Mountain Food-Ferment project linked to local products.
